Pool Deck Restoration El Paraíso: Around the Water's Edge
A stamped concrete pool deck in El Paraíso can be restored in place: we pressure wash it, fill cracks and chips, cut in neatly along the coping and lay two coats of resin colour. The pool, the pattern and the garden stay as they are, and nothing is broken out.
Send us a photo and the m²What makes a pool deck different from a driveway?
Water, bare feet and lots of edges. A pool surround is constantly splashed and dried, walked on barefoot and dotted with drains, ladders, coping stones and steps, so the preparation and brushwork are more detailed than on an open drive.
That is why we treat the water's edge first: the coping line is protected, drainage grilles are kept clear and every junction is cut in by brush before the open areas receive colour.
Where in El Paraíso do you work?
Across the area: Paraíso Alto, Paraíso Medio and Paraíso Barronal, which together form El Paraíso along Estepona's New Golden Mile. Villas, townhouses and complexes with shared pools all appear in our enquiries.
Private pool decks are your decision; shared pool surrounds in a complex require the community's approval first.
Wherever you are in El Paraíso, the quote comes from your photos, so the first step is simply a set of pictures taken around the pool.
Is a recoloured pool deck slippery?
It depends on the product and on the texture of your stamped pattern, so we do not make claims beyond the manufacturer's data sheet. Where grip around the pool is a priority, tell us at the quote stage and we discuss the options available.
Our page on pool deck restoration and the guide on colour and finish under resealing and recolouring explain the considerations in more detail.
What does a finished surface look like?
Even, deep and clean-edged. On our reference job, a villa in Marbella, the faded and cracked stone-pattern stamped drive, carport and garage apron ended up dark, glossy and uniform after two coats.

The same edge discipline applies around a pool, where crisp lines along the coping make the biggest visual difference.
How do I book a restoration in El Paraíso?
Send daylight photos of the pool deck, including the coping and any cracks, plus an approximate area, via our contact page or WhatsApp. We reply with a quote and propose dates when the pool can be closed for a short spell.
If the colour has simply gone pale and blotchy rather than cracked, our page on faded imprinted concrete explains why that happens.
Frequently asked questions
Do you cover Paraíso Alto, Medio and Barronal?
Yes, all three parts of El Paraíso in Estepona are within our area. We quote from photos first, so it makes no difference which part you are in; access details, such as gates or steep entrances, are noted and reflected in the plan.
Our complex has a shared pool. Can one owner request the work?
An owner can raise it, but the community must approve work on a shared pool surround. The administrator usually collects quotes and presents them to the owners' meeting; we provide a written description in English to help non-resident owners follow the proposal.
We rent the villa for holidays. When should the pool deck be done?
In a gap between bookings or before the letting season starts, so guests never find the pool area closed. Share your calendar and we fit cleaning, repairs, two coats and the drying time from the data sheet into the free days, with a margin for weather.
I'm in the UK most of the year. Can you handle it without me?
Yes. We work with your key holder or management company, document each stage with photos and agree everything in English. You approve the colour from sample photos and see the finished deck in the final report before your next visit.
Does Estepona require a permit for this kind of work?
We have not been able to verify Estepona's rules for exterior surface work (to be verified). Depending on the zone, a declaración responsable or a licence may apply. Please confirm with the Ayuntamiento de Estepona before work begins; we provide a written job description.
Are there gated areas in El Paraíso you can access?
If your home is behind a gate or barrier, tell us how visitors are registered. We provide names, vehicle and dates in advance and keep to them, and because we do not demolish anything there is no heavy traffic through the entrance.
Does the pool need to be drained?
Normally not. We work on the deck, not inside the basin, protecting the coping and water line during washing and coating. The pool is simply out of use while the surround is being coated and dries. Skimmers and grilles are covered so no wash debris or paint ends up in the water.
Can you repair a chipped pool edge?
Small chips and worn edges in the stamped concrete deck are filled before coating. Damage to the coping stones themselves, or tiles inside the pool, is not part of our service and needs a pool specialist. We mark any such damage in our quote so you can arrange the right trade.
Will the new colour fade again?
All outdoor finishes weather over time, and how quickly depends on the product, exposure and care. We refer to the product data sheet for maintenance guidance and can return to apply a refresh coat when it is due. Gentle cleaning methods also help the colour keep its depth for longer.
Can you add a new pool terrace?
No. We do not pour new concrete or extend terraces. Our work is limited to cleaning, small repairs and recolouring existing surfaces; for new areas, a builder is needed first. If a builder adds new areas, we can then look at matching the colour of the old ones.
